It is a unique, ultra pure hyaluronic acid injectable gel, which when precisely injected into the skin, helps to improve skin laxity and restore and improve firmness of the skin. 

One of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market, Profhilo not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but it also remodels ageing and sagging tissue by stimulating collagen.  It slows down ageing, gently lifts the skin and leaves you with an incredible glow.  It is very different to fillers as it does not volumize the face at all.  It works very nicely alongside dermal fillers and anti wrinkle injections.

▼ Who can have Profhilo?
Profhilo is suitable for all ages. Our collagen starts to decline in our 20s, so if you have any degree of skin laxity, Profhilo can benefit you.
▼ Where can you have Profhilo?
The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck. However, Profhilo can also be used for the decolletage, hands, arms, knees, and abdomen where it would effectively treat skin laxity.
▼ How many sessions will I need?
The first time you get Profhilo, you need 2 sessions around 4 weeks apart. After this to maintain the results, 1 session every 3 months or 2 sessions every 6 months (4 weeks apart) is advised.
▼ Will it hurt and how long does it take?
The actual needles used for Profhilo are very small, however there is a little sting as the product is injected into the skin. The procedure itself is actually very quick taking only around 5 minutes. There are 10 injections in total across the area you are treating – 5 on each side. You are left with bumps which can take a day or two to settle.
▼ Are there any side effects or risks?
Profhilo is a very safe treatment but there is always a risk of bruising as with any injectables. It is important you follow your aftercare advise.
▼ Is this treatment suitable for everybody?
You are unsuitable for treatment if:
  • You have any infection present at or near the injection sites
  • You are allergic to any of the ingredients
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have a neuromuscular disease
▼ How do I prepare for the appointment?
Please do not drink alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment. Avoid any laser treatments, chemical peels or microneedling for 2 weeks before and after your treatment. Please try to eat and drink something before your appointment to avoid feeling light headed during the procedure. Please come to your appointment make up free or with minimal make up.
▼ Is there any aftercare advice?
Yes! Try to avoid ibuprofen and aspirin for the first 24 hours as this can increase bruising. Paracetamol is fine. Please avoid alcohol and exercise for at least 24 hours as it can lead to flushing of the skin, which can, in turn, reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. Avoid rubbing the areas of the face that have been injected for 24 hours - this includes having facials or facial massage. Avoid applying makeup directly to the injection sites for 24 hours. You may apply makeup to the other areas of your face.
